Metro Officer Arrested For Domestic Assault On Girlfriend

Police have arrested a Metro police officer for allegedly assaulting his live-in girlfriend.

North Precinct Patrol officer Charlie Banks, 38, was charged with felony aggravated assault.

Police said he repeatedly pushed his live-in girlfriend onto a couch, tried to strangle her and struck her in the face during an argument inside their Bellevue apartment last Friday night.
