Dickson Co. deputy faces investigation into misconduct

CHARLOTTE, TN (WSMV) -A Dickson County sheriff’s deputy is off the job, and the sheriff is asking the TBI to investigate allegations made by an inmate against the deputy.

This isn’t the first time similar allegations about Deputy Derrick Wall have surfaced.

Wall has worked at the Dickson County Sheriff’s Department for the past year, and the most recent allegations surfaced just last week.

And these allegations are not the first time someone has complained about Wall’s behavior. He previously faced allegations of misconduct when he worked at the Burns Police Department and also at the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Burns police, Wall resigned in 2006 instead of being fired after allegations of impropriety while on a traffic stop involving a female.

Two years later, Wall worked only one month at the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office before Sheriff Randal Ward said that there were allegations he made some inappropriate sexual comment or advancement toward a female inmate.

When Wall was confronted, the Hickman County sheriff says he got mad and quit.
