Middle Tennessee judge reprimanded over punishment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The Tennessee Court of the Judiciary has publicly reprimanded a Middle Tennessee judge for handcuffing a father to a son as punishment.

The disciplinary panel Thursday announced the reprimand of Ronnie Zachary, General Sessions judge in Pickett County.

A statement released by the panel said Zachary had acknowledged that such a sentence was improper. The panel did not say when the handcuffing was done or elaborate on the case.
