Metro Officer Fired For Prescription Fraud

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Officer Donald Lawman was fired Monday afternoon after being accused of obtained prescription medication by fraud.

Officer Lawman and his wife former Davidson County Sheriff’s employee Jennifer Vardaman, were charged in June with obtaining prescription medication by fraud. Officials began the investigation after suspicious arose of Lawman receiving excessive amounts of prescription medication.

Lawman was decommissioned in May 2010 when the investigation began.
