Former Jackson police officer pleads guilty
Former Jackson police officer David Dreblow, 26, pleaded guilty in U. S. District Court on Tuesday to conspiracy to violate the civil rights of a resident from whom Dreblow and another former officer are accused of stealing.
As part of the plea agreement, Dreblow admitted that on Aug. 3, 2010, while on duty as a police officer, he conspired to steal about $1,200 from a citizen, Malcolm Wortham, while processing a crime scene in the 100 block of Division Street, according to a news release from Jackson police. Dreblow faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. He will be sentenced on July 5 in U.S. District Court.
