Inmates who flashed jailer given special privileges, TBI says

LAFAYETTE, Tenn. -The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday arrested a former correctional officer at the Macon County jail on misconduct charges.

Adam Nash, 32, of Lafayette, was indicted Monday on five counts of official misconduct and one count of sexual contact with an inmate following a TBI investigation.

Between June 2011 and December 2011 while working in the jail, the TBI said Nash gave female inmates privileges in exchange for them showing him their bare chests.

Nash also had sexual contact with a female inmate in January of 2012.

Nash was booked into the Macon County jail on a $10,000 bond.

Additional information was not released.
