Former Metro officer to face child abuse charges
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -Former Metro police officer Jeffrey Poole is scheduled to be arraigned on a charge of aggravated child abuse on Wednesday.
Police arrested Poole in November at his home in Antioch.
According to a news release, Poole’s 16-year-old son told officers that his father struck him in the head several times with a sports trophy during a heated argument.
The teenager was treated for injuries at Southern Hills Medical Center, according to police.
At the time of the incident, Poole was free on bond and awaiting trial for alleged sex crimes.
