Fmr. Wilson Co. Deputy Sentenced To 220 Months
WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A former Wilson County Deputy who pleaded guilty to federal charges of official misconduct was sentenced to 220 months in prison on Friday.
John Edwards pleaded guilty to trying to sell sensitive information to a suspected drug smuggler in exchange for $100,000 dollars.
He was indicted in 2011 on a laundry list of charges including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, money laundering, official misconduct, theft, and tampering with evidence in a string of crimes that authorities said stretch back several years.
