Man who shot at Madison County deputy is a former correctional officer

A man who authorities have identified as a former deputy and correctional officer in Tipton County is in custody after pointing his gun and firing at a Madison County deputy.

Sheriff David Woolfork said Timothy B. Minner, 46, was taken to Pathways for an evaluation before being transferred to Charter Lakeside.

Minner, who has a Jackson address, was taken into custody after the sheriff’s office received a call before 2 a.m. today that a man and woman were being held at gunpoint on Barnes Road, where Minner lives.|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE
