Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals judge pleads guilty to DUI
KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals judge pleaded guilty Monday to driving under the influence in Knoxville.
Judge Jerry Smith was charged with DUI in April when he was driving on the Cumberland Avenue Strip.
An officer pulled Smith over after seeing him driving a 2010 Subaru Forester with the hatch open and some luggage close to falling out.
Judge Smith was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and his license was suspended.
