Former Shelby County Reserve Deputy charged in decade old molestation case
MEMPHIS, TN -(WMC-TV) – A Shelby County employee has been charged for allegedly molesting a child a decade ago.
Joel Camp, who also goes by the name “Joey,” has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery. He is currently behind bars custody on $50,000 bond.
Police say there is the possibility that more alleged victims will come forward and are continuing to investigate this case.
Bartlett police arrested the former reserve deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Friday. Camp served as a volunteer with the department from 1993 until 2007. He was terminated due to issues with his personal conduct and honesty, according to officials.
