Constable resigns from post after arrest

The Dyer County constable arrested last month for aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor has resigned from his post and county commissioners are searching for someone to nominate for appointment.

Derick Hundley, 29, 153 Hawthorne St., Dyersburg, Tenn., was taken into custody by the TBI around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21. During the time of his arrest he signed a notarized statement saying he resigned as constable of District H. Hundley is being housed in the Obion County Jail instead of the Dyer County Jail for safety purposes. He has a bond of $250,000.
