Former state trooper indicted on DUI, weapon charges
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -A former state trooper previously assigned to the Cookeville district was indicted on criminal charges on Wednesday.
Jonathan Reed was indicted for driving under the influence and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
Each of the charges are considered a Class A misdemeanor and carry a possible sentence of up to 11 months and 29 days in jail.
Authorities said the indictment stems from a criminal investigation into an incident that occurred in March.
