Decommissioned officer resigns after domestic assault arrest
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -A Metro police officer who was decommissioned following his arrest last week for domestic assault has resigned.
According to police, patrol officer Albert Ridgeway admitted to conduct unbecoming of an officer.
Ridgeway was taken into custody after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend down several times during an argument at their Mt. Juliet home.
The victim reportedly left the home and went to the Mt. Juliet Police Department to speak with officers.
