Knoxville officer suspended after domestic spat
Knoxville police administrators suspended an officer for two days without pay for his actions during a squabble with his estranged wife that led to a domestic violence arrest.
Officer Brian M. Foulks served the suspension Aug. 13 and has since been assigned back to the school resource officer unit. He is the school resource officer at Central High School.
Foulks, 34, has been with the Knoxville Police Department since June 2006. He was suspended after an internal affairs probe deemed him to have exhibited conduct unbecoming of an officer during the May 8 squabble that resulted in his arrest by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
“His behavior did not reflect favorably upon the department and brought discredit upon him and the Knoxville Police Department,” the internal affairs investigator concluded.
