Former MPD Officer gets Year of Home Confinement
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A former Memphis city police officer has been given a year of home confinement and fined $5,000 for illegally looking up information on a federal database.
A federal judge in Memphis sentenced Sean Fritz on Monday, saying the former officer’s crime was serious, although it wasn’t violent.
Fritz apologized to the court and said he hated throwing away a good career.
